There Are Many Mansions

Boy, that was quite a day, yesterday!  Thanks again, everyone, for a great discussion.  The second day of a big post tends to be a little crummier — the piece gets links on less-friendly message boards, and you get a lot more of the “I have no intention of reading this Godless piffle, but let me tell YOU a thing or two” kind of comments.  So I guess what I’m saying is, if you subscribed to comments, look out.

Also, today at Mr. Register (I don’t know why I said that), I have a post up called “There Are Many Mansions.”  It’s about the different roads you can take when travelling to the golden city of God’s Willopolis (I don’t know why I said that, either).

  1. Simcha, I see a pattern here that will help you keep up with both the blog and Mr. Register (I don”t know why you said that either). Write the wild and crazy, controversy-generating piece here, and then do the more thoughtful, philosophical, restrained version for Mr. R.

  2. I *love* the concept that inside the golden box marked “Divine Will” there is not only the destination for each soul, but also the path. Sometimes, it takes five million times of hearing a theological concept explained five million different ways before it finally sinks in.

  3. I’m thinking I should have posted my funny (well, I thought it was funny) comment here and not on the register. Ah well. They don’t hold you responsible for your commenters! : )

  4. “Also, today at Mr. Register (I don’t know why I said that),…”

I suspect it’s because the Register is your serious blog, and this is your own personal blog where you can be as goofy as you wanna be.

“… the golden city of God’s Willopolis (I don’t know why I said that, either).”

    That I have no clue.
