The Bible references are a snap to find on the internet. If your children are able, they could look them up and write them on the links of the chain. Then maybe you could all read chapters from which the passages are taken. That’s what I’m doing, and I don’t even have any children. A nice Advent devotion.
Thank you for sharing this! It is a great project for this squirrely morning after a long Thanksgiving weekend. My 4 year old cut the strips (he loves to cut up paper). Now he and my 2 year old are coloring the back sides of the strips in purple or pink, depending on the week. We’ll make up the chain and then hide it until Saturday – they are excited to surprise their dad and an older sister (who are off doing their normal school/work day.)
